			Another story created under "touch starved" as a theme:
			<blockquote>Without warning the man sweeps behind the little woman and roughly offsets her balance so she has little choice but to fall back into his arms. Ignoring any initial protests, he lifts and cradles her form against his chest before traversing through the east coast tempest's shin-high runoff. It is unclear why he bothers to save her the trouble. They are both soaked as it is. Maybe he does it simply because he can.

			“W-what–?!”

			It was true, Dracula was lost in thought, of what was the question, and maybe just a bit too water-logged and miserable because of it to really realize just how close Walton was. She had seen him but had been distracted before he approached. Then he was there and her sense of equilibrium was being turned on its head. The vampire squeaked a high-pitched squeal , and squirmed until she was being carried fully.

			“W-what is going on????” The vampire squawks, looking up at Walton with wide eyes partially hidden by soaked curls plastered to her face. “Mr.Simons???”

			Although the woman spoke the truth, Walton was inclined not to believe her. Even if he knew who the tail was, he would have reacted quite differently of someone wandered after him. He never took kindly to jumping surprises or unauthorized followers, especially if they had a thousand and one questions.

			With a snort he slows his pace through the lukewarm, ankle deep water that now seeped over and into his shoes and made each soggy step feel like he waded through a swamp. The edge of the urban lake was not far off, and he looked forward to higher ground, but the quicker he stepped the more his socks felt the rain’s wrath. It was a test, he supposed, in fortitude.

			Deep down inside, however, he knew it was excuse for selfishness.

			Alice felt odd cradled his arms. She was not heavy - just the opposite: the woman reminded him of a doll. She was so petite and thin that her mechanics and bones nearly protruded through her clothes and skin. Nonetheless, even with her fragile, other worldly appearances, she radiated a warmth and softness that mirrorred her general persona, one that his frosty demeanor took to tenderly if not hesitantly. His profession and his own life choices did not lend him many of these gentle moments, so he took them quietly, greedily, where he could.

			Of course, she was beginning to fuss like a cat who has been held to long. Though wholly understandable, her words and glare displeased him. So, he made to drop her. Is this not what she wanted?

			She was likely two feet away from splashing into the stormy runoff and two and a half feet away from cracking against the raw-rubbed asphalt beneath the murky surface, before his arms swept her up against him again. In the ambient dark his eyes were alight as was the curve of subtle, peeling grin.

			He would not release her yet.

			“Where and why do you wander on such a rainy night,” he asks somberly as if nothing was wrong.

			Dracula let out a squeak as Walton pretended to drop her and struggled to not hit the pavement in a way that would most certainly be painful. Just as she was about to be quite wet and bruised, Walton caught her up again, and despite her better judgement, the vampire throw her arms around his neck. Gold eyes wide, she sputtered at Simons at the supposed mistreatment, but knows better to protest further. Or he might truly drop her. Truth be told, though, she was tempted to stick her tongue out at the grin on his face. She had no idea what an imp Simons could be…

			“Working, of course,” Dracula answers truthfully. “I would not be out in the cold and wet if I did not have to be. And what about you? I cannot imagine you like the rain enough to be just out and about wading through the ‘pond’.”

			Dracula releases her grip around his neck and crossed her arms. One might be lead to believe she was annoyed, but her well-controlled shivering told another story. It was pretty cold out here in this veritable monsoon, after all.</blockquote>

			A story where Dracula protects Simons from a daemon:

			<blockquote>She was so gentle and optimistic; there was no way Mercy could display moments of caustic nature and viciousness. Yet as Simons watched, the vampire hurled her fist – wreathed in white fire – to hit the woman that had shown up without impunity. It was one of those terrible demon things, of course, but it had taken a form (quite literally taken ; the creature had absorbed his subordinates very memories and mannerisms into itself) that wormed its way towards Simons in his own work place, his own fortress. Even with his keenness of senses and observation, the creature was so careful to slip past him. Entering a conversation with Mercy outside, though, was what revealed the truth.

			The vampire’s usual faeish, pretty features transformed into a scowl as she spotted the woman following Simons coming closer and closer. Walton did not know what the problem was with the strange being until the black was spilling over his and closing around his head, eyes turning on him from the twisted limbs around him and staring at him so condescendingly. Simons readied to fight the thing off, but the vampire was faster as she knew immediately how to deal with this threat. Walton would not have thought her able to move so violently, tearing into the monster that tried to rise out of his former favourite Adept’s body rapidly. Black splattered her face and faded away, leaving no trace except the barest remains of the adept the Demon could not consume like bones and machines. Before it dissolved, though, Walton saw the thing unfold into a visceral,black shape of abstract tentacles and venous,pulsing wings covered in eyes and mouths that screeched terrible, blasphemous things at the vampire, even as she reduced it to literal nothingness.

			Simons stepped away trying to wrap his mind around what just happened. He was strong; he was not afraid. Yet the whirlwind of action sent a shock into his system into inaction when he was always someone of great locomotion. This was his first close encounter with the monsters from Mercy’s world that did not have at least a vaguely human appearance. This, then, was the enemy they faced; terrible creatures who stole faces that people trust and attack them from a place of trust. Anyone could be one of these things; anything could be lurking around every trustworthy smile or pretty face more subtly than even Page or Thorndale. Mercy was going to teach him now how to combat this; he would not be caught off guard by….these things again.

			“Let’s get out of here.”

			Mercy’s voice in his ear drew him away from his attempts to reason out what this was and how to deal with it. Her face was serious and grim, an unusual and maybe even alarming expression to see on her face. She did not pull on his arm after she had spoken to him, only walked away with purpose. Simons turned around, mouth opening to demand answers.

			“Mercy–”

			“Later,” the vampire chided. “Let’s go.”

			“This is my place,” Simons’ reply was less of an answer to her and more a defiance of what he had just witnessed. “There is no way I can allow this kind of invasion of it.”

			“Good, we’re on the same page.” Alice was uncharacteristically sarcastic. “We still cannot stay here and expect for you to be able to deal with the Demons. Obviously, they’ve find purchase within your organization. Thus, we need to regroup, okay?”

			Simons scowled, looking back at his fortress that might now be a din of….what exactly? Demons were not a thing he believed in even if the vampire called them thus. They could be explained as monsters, simply monsters, that he would destroy for daring to make themselves at home in his territory. Very well, he would play along and banish the monsters from his home, even if he had to crush them all one by one.

			“Very well, show me your plan.” Simons growled. Reckoning time would soon be at hand for this new enemy of his. Death had been awakened.</blockquote>

Most notable of the scars is the large weapon slash cut from her left rib to her right hip and the reddening and puckering of skin around the Enhancement that replaces her spine (the latter is extremely touch sensitive). 			<blockquote>He wished she would scream. Shout. Flail. Maybe even cry. But no. She sat there, miffed but petrified, like a little bird as a weasel breathed hot words across her little ears and ventured to touch her arms even though she had clearly already said “no”.

			The sight of the clamoring pest made Walton’s skin crawl and his hands coil into fists. He wanted to twist the man’s neck for such unwanted frowardness especially in his presence, but such realized fantasies of public violence would set off a chain of investigations even he, the Director of FEMA, did not want to deal with.

			Nonetheless, he could not stand idle. Without adieu he brushes past the fierce, sharp angles of the deadly Navarre and the frustrated stares of her mountainous partner to fall in by the little woman’s side - the one unoccupied by the leech sucking at her patient, good nature. “Mercy,” he calls in a clear tone that cuts across the man’s bumbling rumble. His voice demands her attention, though he finds her more than willing to turn towards it.

			Her gasp is more of a sigh. “Mr. Simons.” He could see the anxiety drop from her shoulders, though her golden eyes grow to as wide as the other man’s deep browns.

			She knows to take his offered hand, and away he leads them to the dance where they could lose themselves among others. They lose themselves in the gentle sway. “You live up to your name, Mercy,” he observes softly as he adjusts his hands to her small size and draws her under his shadow, “Sometimes it disappoints me…” He tuts his tongue at her uncoordinated steps. “On my shoes if you must.”

			He gets a half-hearted glare before she tilts her head downwards to watch and learn the patterns of their steps. She preferred to stumble than to be led entirely. “Sometimes you make it difficult to be grateful, Mr. Simons. I was trying not to make a scene.” She sighs and readjusts her hand in his, and suddenly his hands feel like sandpaper compared to hers. “But thank you…”

			He hums and says no more. A turn here, a twist there - slowly he directs their dance towards the edge of the floor opposite of the man, least he was still there. For a moment he lingers them at the precipice, enjoying their quiet sway and the feel of the small of her back beneath his hand, but he knows to let her go and does so. This was only a means of escape.

			He bows his head and releases the flighty woman back into the thick of the gala. “Enjoy your evening.”</blockquote>

Their aim iwas to perfect a new Soulless — the soul-stripped soldiers the Grigori use alongside their supernatural minions and Mygckal allies for their attacks against those that would stop them — that invoked the great power of the stolen Edgecrusher technology of Bear-minx Corp. to create a Technomygckal dark op soldier. Most of the children died from the strenuous testing and body modifications, however, both Dracula and Zerach’s own son, Il-Seong (dubbed Elias by Dracula), survived the project and moved onto later stages of testing. Before ARC could finish Dracula’s systems, the two attempted in the escape. While attempting to recapture them both, Dracula made up for her lack of physical strength with Mygckal strength that came forth in uncontrollable storms of power.
