Overview
Dr. Shailendra Devi Mandal is a 43 year-old cyberneticist and surgeon from Udaipur, India, He is the medical department head at Loha Praan Technologies (LTech).
Personality
Mandal really enjoys his job, particularly the part where he makes incisions into his patient;
He parts his lips and breathes as he takes a small scalpel. He'd need this one to be precise. He was acutely aware of the raise of eyebrows on the other side of the table as he began to split down the middle of the trishula tattoo on his client's back, his other hand splayed gently on a shoulder blade.
He tried to find meaning in the moment but every conclusion he fell onto was electric. Exciting. Natural. Evolution. Red, glistening evolution.
He'd procured a larger scalpel and he swallows, lifting his chin while leaning in. His synthetic muscles tense and he's sliding it deeper until the give stops. Less pressure. He drags down, exhaling, watching the claret blood bead as he split him and split him and split him.
Though he sees blood for a living and seems to have a profound fascination with blood in the operating room, actual violence terrifies him. He considers surgery to be healing, where murder and other kinds of hatred are the results of barbarism and ignorance.
He is obsessed with beauty, to the point where he never asks if he "should" only if he "could". He will sometimes prefer form over function.

Aside from his work, he also collects beetles (and names every one) and considers himself an aesthete. He's been inspired by the mechanical and sculptural appearance of insects at times.
He has been described as diligent and masterful, as well as kind-hearted, intelligent and passionate. His more negative qualities include being a workaholic, possessive, unhinged, and rarely empathic.
History
He is a celebrity in his own right among the medical and augmentation community for fighting enthusiastically for unregulated augmentation research, as well as being the mind behind many extraordinary or controversial designs.
His own augmentations began with a lost a limb during an anti-aug riot sometime around 2024. Now, he has a large portion of his body replaced with his own designs, inspired by his hometown.
