History
2052
Chapter 1
After JC leaves, Paul carefully sneaks out of UNATCO without being spotted, aware he isn't in condition to engage in active combat as he's suffering from the effects of the killswitch, and because he'd regret being forced to kill more ex colleagues again.
Once out, he meets with Harley Filben in the North Docks, who hooks him up with a speedboat to travel to Manhattan. He keeps the worse side effects of the killswitch at bay by administering medkits to himself.
When his ride drops him off, he takes a cab to reach Bebe's apartment and stealthily climbs towards her window. Once she lets him in, he fills her in with everything that's happened up to that point, and how he must leave for Hong Kong to stop his killswitch.
Tearfully, Bebe confesses she's pregnant and Paul promises he'll come back for her.
Chapter 2
Time passes by and Bebe awaits for any type of signal from Paul, an email, a call, anything. She keeps going forward, trying her best to not be worn down with worry by focusing in her job as a nurse, a job that didn't help with the anxiety as she treated patients ill with Gray Death.
However, one day she finally recieves an encrypted e-mail from Paul, advising her to withdraw all her savings from the bank as there was a high chance the internet and all forms of communication might go down. No matter what happened, she must stay in her place as he'd return to pick her up.
She does as told hours before the internet goes black, and nervously questions if leaving her life behind is the right decision.
Chapter 3
After some time, Paul appeared knocking in her apartment window, ready to take her back to Hong Kong with him. He once again fills her in with everything that's happened up to that point, including JC's faulty merge with Helios and how they had to leave him in stasis to research a fix.
She questions how will they leave Manhattan, and he explains members from the traids will pick them up at the beach to sail towards Hong Kong.
Before parting, she leaves a letter for her family and friends knowing full well they'll come looking for her after her sudden disappearance.
A farewell letter.
