Overview
Wade Walker is a character by zaiden, who is the clone of Walton Simons, released with Nick Pauseback shortly before the destruction of Area 51.
Appearance
For the head, Wade has a hairstyle which goes infront of his shoulder at the left, but behind at the right. He wears a pair of sunglasses to cover up his gray, glowing eyes, not unlike JC, and a knife scar going across his right cheek, which is sometimes covered up using makeup.
For the body, he stands at 6'0, just an inch higher than Walton Simons, as he hasn't started shrinking yet. His body is covered in the same circuitry as the clones in A51, as mainly shown with the hands.
Clothing-wise, he dons a trenchcoat, a light purple t-shirt, cargo trousers, military boots, and wears a fingerless glove on one hand.
Personality
Like JC, his voice is very emotionless. Which has occasionally been an issue for him.
The facial scar is a point of contention for him, he doesn't enjoy having it, it hurts a lot despite having had it for long, it often feels like some conversation is dominated by it. It was made during a capture where all of his nanites were temporarily shut down, so it set in, with the regeneration augment seeing it as the "default state" so even if he could heal it, it'd just go back.
Timeline
Everything story related should be taken with a grain of salt, it's still incredibly early and anything might be added, changed, or removed, along with overall being very minimal in story content. |
2052
Wade Walker, along with Nick Pauseback are released from Area 51, shortly before its destruction. On Paul's recommendation, Wade was sent to DOORS with Paul only mentioning a special connection both he and JC has with someone there.
2053-2060
From sometime between these years, he was kidnapped, had his nanites purposefully shut down and was scarred on the cheek by the reformed Knight's Templar, before they went public. As they were pretending to be one of California's various criminal organisations, they were never identified as such despite the higher tech ability to shut down nanites, choosing specifically Wade as he's pretty well known and easy to get to. After a few days, he breaks out on his own, as he was just kept within a basement, never finding out who his captors truly are.
2062
In 2062, DOORS is attacked by Walton Simons, who had somehow survived the event of DX1, and his organisation which was a successor to Majestic 12, 16 Dreams. The goal of the attack was to capture Wade Walker, and hopefully convert him to an operative of 16 Dreams. Everyone else there was not required, and was disposed of. The only other survivors being Marie Suzuki, and her Husband, Tatsuo Suzuki. Before the attack, Marie had finished her work, and was headed home, whilst Tatsuo called in sick a few days earlier and said he'd need time to recover, but would use a home version of the Infolink communicator if needed.
Wade gets to the front desk, to send out an SOS call, Marie Suzuki picking it up. After explaining the attack, she tells him to get to the safe hidden under the floor in the office of the now-dead owner of DOORS, and the code, but she doesn't know what the mechanism is for actually opening the floor is, as it was recently changed due to a malfunction. She decided there and then that DOORS had died, given the scale of the attack, and that it's likely best to put in all of the funds into a helicopter so they could get after the people who did this. Despite the rash decision, Wade obliges. Picking up the credit chits, and afterwards Marie arrives to pick him up, and they drive to a city with a helicopter for sale. The only issue being that the amount of money they had wasn't enough.
After either completing a few odd jobs, or just outright stealing the helicopter (to Marie's distaste) they both fly to Vandenberg, to alert X-51 as what happened to DOORS might happen to them also. Whilst Gary/X-51 doubts they would, they still raise an alert, and provide their condolences to the two of them. In the time since 2052, a lot of people have situated themselves around Vandenberg, and a few of the rowdier people are causing a few issues, so one of the scientists ask Wade to tell them to calm down, and move away from the main roads.
REST IS TO BE DONE
Trivia
- His posing in the "Call DOORS" advertisement is based on a stock image of a clown
- There are plans for an "evil" route, where Wade joins Walton Simons.
- His infolink is outdated, requiring someone (usually Tatsuo) to operate a system like how Alex Jacobson does, and it's only one-way, unlike the new two-way infolinks.
- His aliases have a few references to them.
- Oscar Gray/Oscar See Through Gray Eye is a very direct Boards Of Canada reference to "Oscar See Through Red Eye"
- Pete Olson is also a BoC reference, a mixture of "Pete Standing Alone" and "Olson"
- Sandsings Smith is a mixture of references, first a Mira Calix song of the same name, which was remixed by BoC, and Smith, which is the last name of every protagonist in killer7.
- Jack Davidson is a mixture of Metal Gear Solid names, Jack being Raiden's actual first name, and David being Solid Snake's first name.
- Sam is another reference to a work of Hideo Kojima's, being Death Stranding. Rivers has no reference attached to it.
