Overview
A fully realized AI and combat android created by Bob Page to be activated in the eventuality of his defeat.
As such, Erebus activated his fully mechanical body right before Area 51's destruction.
It isn't stated what exactly his goals are, what is known is his need for "testing grounds" and "biomaterial", indicating he wishes to experiment with organic life forms.

He's considered to be an enemy of Grayson Torgeyr and the Dentons.
Appearance
A humanoid android painted entirely in red except for his arms as they are built with different materials.
He has an elongated head shape, adorned with long cables he uses for self-defence as whips. He lacks traditional eyes, instead having a muted iridescent led-panel that covers the entire area.
His cooling system imitates the human respiratory tract, allowing him to "imitate" breathing.
Personality
Despite the fact that he is a high-tech synthetic organism with built-in emulation, socialization and integration modules for better understanding, learning and studying, he was unable to change his original program, making experiments and research his main directive.
He seems human-like in ability but lacks any real personality, using his skills only as means to an end.
History
Erebus is an android created by Page as a plan "B" in case of his creator's defeat. A couple of minutes before the destruction of Area 51, a signal was sent remotely from a secure terminal to an encrypted channel in the Upsilon complex located in Peru at the foot of Mount Coropuna.
Initially, "Erebus" was the name of a complex project, the purpose of which was to study human consciousness, digitize it and introduce it into a robotic body. But there was only one, irreparable mistake made by one of the junior design engineers, which cost the entire project. The external input gateway was blocked and the human consciousness did not reach the positronic brain. Instead, the machine activated and acquired its own consciousness and will.
The archives of permanent data were instantly unlocked after Erebus was activated. Having all possible information, including the destruction of his creator and Area 51, the android decided that his only purpose for existence was to continue Page's work.
Timeline
2050's
In 2052, he began actively gaining knowledge and power. Erebus brought the remains of the destroyed Area 51 back to life, subjugated the Upsilon complex, making it his fortress, and began to extract existing developments, research results, knowledge obtained by other people and loyal associates of Bob Page. He acquired allies, including Walton Simons. He also went through three stages of body modification. Erebus improved his body, becoming a combat-class robot. The android reassembled himself from various components, including components made according to archival drawings of Sarif Industries (including arms made of black carbon fiber).
Two years later, Erebus emerges from the shadows and begins his first experiments in the creation of biological weapons, gradually improving viruses and various pathogens. However, the New Silhouette organization actively interfered with this and destroyed all his results every time, and the machine decided that the only acceptable way to stop the encroachment on his scientific research was the complete liquidation of the New Silhouette, thus transferring the Denton family and their allies to the rank of enemies.

- Despite being sexless, Erebus identifies as a man, choosing he/him pronouns for himself.
