Overview

Dracula is a vampiric woman made for role playing purposes with characters from different frachises.

The following are texts[1][2] taken verbatim from Dracula's role playing bio sheet made by the author, with the Alternative Universe section only presenting the universes taking place in Deus Ex.

History

Dracula was born the second child of the fourth Dracula, Karakuri (formerly Karolina Weißkrüez) and, supposedly, the Conquerer Jagen Thrawn, the last of three legitimate children (truthfully, Dracula was fathered by Gabriel Jotun when Karakuri was briefly married to him).

Abandoned by her mother the day she was born, Dracula was part of a swath of abandoned children “taken into custody” by Devon Hellsend and Zerach Scythe and used to test the Edgecrusher brand of Synthetics they were developing for the sake of the group Arc Tech is a front for — the New Grigori. Their aim iwas to perfect a new Soulless — the soul-stripped soldiers the Grigori use alongside their supernatural minions and Mygckal allies for their attacks against those that would stop them — that invoked the great power of the stolen Edgecrusher technology of Bear-minx Corp. to create a Technomygckal dark op soldier. Most of the children died from the strenuous testing and body modifications, however, both Dracula and Zerach’s own son, Il-Seong (dubbed Elias by Dracula), survived the project and moved onto later stages of testing. Before ARC could finish Dracula’s systems, the two attempted in the escape. While attempting to recapture them both, Dracula made up for her lack of physical strength with Mygckal strength that came forth in uncontrollable storms of power. This gave them time to get further away, however, Devon still managed to recapture Elias, nearly killing him. Elias pushed his other half ahead and told her to go on; he would find her in time. He did not do so quickly; it was many years before they would meet again...

The escape was not a completely happy one for that reason alone; the vampire found out quickly that the world could be cruel and still feared vampires, for they shunned or harmed her as she tried to find a haven. Finally, she unleashed another outburst of Mygck that accidentally summoned the Nephilim, Gero Hellsend. Though unmoved at first, the Nephilim eventually took her under his wing, saving her from Devon Hellsend, and brought her to some “friends” to be cared for, a family of monster hunters known as the Heus family. There, she spent part of her childhood and was taught use of the sword and control of her powerful Mygcks.

In time, the vampire became quite the skilled fighter and was quite settled with the Heus family This would not last; in an attempt to regain their lost possession, Zerach and Devon’s “backers” (that is, the New Grigori agents seeking to regain their lost asset) finally manage to find Dracula and thrusts her back into the system of adoption so they could turn her over to someone capable of holding her. Neither the Heus family or even Gero (who had reason to avoid revealing himself to ARC tech) could do anything to stop it, but had to watch them drag away the vampire to a foster home. The vampire was able to fight reliably now, much to the chagrin of the Grigori’s patrons and the death of many demons and Souless, and escaped through a small portion of Unsettled land and stumbled upon the remote home of the Cypher family.

Due to the late hour of her arrival, she was first seen as target practice, but as dawn rose, the patriarch of the house, Richard Cypher, realized his mistake when the waif of a vampire presented herself before him, surrendering herself to fate. She did not come to the end she expected; the elf taking pity on the pathetic vampire. While his original intent was to restore her to health then send her to safety, the family ended up adopting her.

She has since grown up with them, trying to get on own feet. In doing so, she meet the leader of and joined herself to the cause of the Last Eclipse (as well as picked up an internship that became a job with the fronting company for Last Eclipse, Covenant Corp.); a team of human and Mygckal beings inArgeant who stand against Devon Hellsend and his New Grigori cohorts, both to help these people the young woman calls her own as well as get back at Hellsend for the torment he put her through during her life. She is a part of the special strike unit Last Eclipse with her older brother, Mithredath, the hacker Arthur Kjell, Kjell’s , the gentle Skinwalker medic, Anela, and the sharpshooter and team lead Marie Zepheia, all under the watchful eye of Witherite “Wil” McKnight. When not doing things for them, the vampire goes on many an adventure; meeting many people and seeing new places. Though this may bring her harm from time to time, she keeps her child-like attitude, naivety, faith and optimism through it all.

Appearance

Dracula is a thin, fragile-looking young lady with a wiry, deer like build and spidery, bird-like skeletal system, so that while she is not particular strong, she is enduring and capable of handling weight and stress above even some much larger beings’ abilities (sometimes through stubborn will, of course) and extremely pretty. Her flesh, a dark, dark tan, has many bruises, cuts and scars of the incision and scrape nature, amoungst other battle and surgery wounds. Most notable of the scars is the large weapon slash cut from her left rib to her right hip and the reddening and puckering of skin around the Enhancement that replaces her spine (the latter is extremely touch sensitive).

Dracula possesses a soft, round face, nose and eyes but small, thin mouth and chin, and small, tipped ears. The latter of which possesses a gold colour to the iris which sparkles brightly or dims to brown depending on light/emotions. The girl’s nose and cheeks possess a permanent light blush and there is some small spattering of freckles on her right cheek. The vampire typically has some pair of cross earrings or one cross earring and one gemmed stud earring (gem is typically of a white, silvery colour or purple). Additional jewelry includes the Dracula clan cross choker which the vampire always wears. Her hair is a light, chocolate brown with pale streaks in it, much like her father’s.

The girl typically dresses in a very cute but feminine fashion of lots of frilly dresses and tops, though, typically elects shorts or jeans over skirts or wears leggings under those. These are typically very brightly coloured or pastel outfits. For Last Eclipse, she is required to wear the group’s white uniform over body armour. Both uniform and body armour are designed for flexibility and are not overly shielded, but this is because of Dracula’s making use of Mygck shielding to coincide with them. The uniform in question consist of a white jacket-vest over the aforementioned body armour of black and green(black being the majourity with green on the lower half of the torso). The leather gauntlets of the uniform match the colour of the jacket-vest but have green designs etched into them, as does the sleek, steel-toed boots. A green quarter cape covers part of right arm l and the plating of armour over shoulder, though, leaves the minour armouring on left arm and the sheath of her sword exposed. Multiple white belts with multiple storage pouches and two weapon holsters (one for a gun, the other for a knife) hanging from them adorn waist and hang over the pants, a plain black affair over which minour armouring is adorned.

Personality

Dracula is an optimistic and energetic creature; eccentric, naïve and ditzy at times, but highly passionate and always energized for the next thing. Sometimes she has to just throw herself in to overcome fear, but once she does, she is capable of handling things and enjoys these new sights, sounds and taste. She does, however, tend to hide her fears, anger, sadness and will not easily cry or display hurt to people around her. Bottling it up, she can sometimes explode or fall apart (though, many times, she takes out her emotions through her fight again the New Grigori alongside the Underground). Other than that, she stays positive, tries to be kind to all she meets, and never stays down for long. Though a bit shy with some people (especially men), she is quick to warm to people (and seemingly vice versa) she feels are good people.

She is stubborn, and holds to what she believes in or what she is doing with such tenacity it borders on dangerous at times. It is not easy to convince her of something, be it another way or another thought pattern (and changing her faith is impossible), but she will hold to it if one manages. She will also press on long after others would have given up for one reason or another, sometimes with good results, sometimes just collapsing broken and exhausted. The most positive, though, is that this makes her a very loyal friend who will be with you through years if you let her.

Despite her hard to change mind, Dracula is a curious creature who, as stated, loves meeting new people, seeing new places, trying new food/music/etc., and learning new things. She can be very inquisitive as such, and will touch and feel and listen about things until she has a grasp of it. This has given her quite the understanding of a variety of languages, philosophies, etc. and helps her to read people very well from their body language to their words and actions; sometimes their very appearance can give her an idea of who they are and what they’re like.

She has a strong protective and caring streak and loves seeing to others needs and wants. She does not ask for anything in return, many times short changing herself, but she never takes it personally except when a person uses her and/or deceives her selfishly. Then one becomes an enemy she has on forgiveness for.

And to go with that strong reaction to betrayal, she has a temper that flares in the face of enemies and traitors; in the midst of an attack by “disgusting people”; and when she is underestimated/berated falsely by the same person multiple times (IE, if one were to call her a whore and continue doing so, as some have, they would find her wrath unleashed) or someone she call kith and/or kin (as they are many times one in the same for her) is harmed. If it is stirred to great lengths, it can lead to violent outbursts. She is more controlled now, but some things still can cause her to lose rationality and resort to obliterating that which caused her anger.

What Dracula lacks in the way of vampire’s usual superhuman strength, speed and senses she makes up with Mygck that can be cast in a variety of forms, elements and uses. Sometimes it can be too powerful even for the vampire herself, but for the most part she has control of it. While she has a variety of skills as aforementioned(including the changing and/or transfer of some matter in size and shape, teleportation via gateways, summoning of monsters, etc.) , most used are her pyromancy and healing spells; bearing a capacity both to immolate a city and revive one in a deep sickness or lethal wound(assuming she is there before their last moments).

Abilities

On top of that, her endurance still lends itself to her vampiric nature, so that even if she has been exhausted, she shall keep going through pressure via this extreme will, sometimes using Mygck to increase it. Indeed, if need be, she uses Mygck to boost her abilities in general, though, this is likely to exhaust her more quickly and/or cause her to need to take of blood. So she does this with caution and only truly goes to great lengths when necessary.

Equally, her lack is also made up in being agile on an incredible level, for while she is clumsy in a normal situation, she is able to climb, run and keep balance in a fight or even in just a heightened state of activity (ie, when working or playing a game).

The vampire has been trained with the blade(in an unorthodox style that mirrors a more vicious, focused version of that used by Dante [DmC reboot] and Roxas [Kingdom Hearts], in freerunning/parkour, surprise attacks/ some stealth, and use of fire arms. She combines these with her Mygck to be able to unleash a fiery mix of Mygckal attacks that many times are as much a flashy display to distract from her closing in with her blade — a thing of technomygckal build that the vampire’s Mygcks can be channeled through to power it or simply be used as a simple weapon as they are lethal, incinerating spells.

The one thing she rarely utilizes (and even if she does, not for battle) is the spine Synthetic implanted by Zerach Scythe. This is in part because it never functioned correctly due to being incomplete. It is suppose to allow the hacking and control of other Modded person’s Synthetics in addition to being a walking “killswitch” without touch, cannot hack into a Synth’s system at all. However, she can “sync” and peer into the minds of other Synths through channels of their Mods, and even channel her emotions into their mind to make a physically painful strike on it. This is not a two way street normally; only one in potentially millions can sync completely with the vampire’s own thoughts and emotions or interact(IE, through a form of telepathy transmitted through the vampire’s touch on the Synth’s Mod(s) with her mind.

She, like all Edgecrusher is mentally and Synthetically uploaded and implanted with many combat skills and knowledge of strategy and battlefield analysis to make them work well in both military units and singular person missions.

Specific Mygck abilities:

[DORMANT] indicates ability Dracula has difficulty or is incapable of tapping without assistance.

  • Fireball,flamethrower and combustion/incineration as describe here.
  • Shielding: Sanctuary.
  • Creation of alternate (“inner”) realm, similiar to Dracula’s Chaotic Realm ability in Castlevania, however, others can enter the place known as “Dreamland”). [passive ability]
  • Instant Army [DORMANT]
  • Teleporting.
  • Dominance over monsters and animals. [DORMANT]
  • Draculian fire. (Hellfire, Dark Inferno, and Demonic Megiddo and Chaos Eruption)
  • Energizing of weapons with fire similar to Ancestor’s Chaos Claws and Shadow Whip ability.
  • Bat Swarm. [DORMANT]
  • Healing of allies. [CANNOT HEAL SELF; ONLY OTHERS; drains energy immensely]
  • Dominance over Sired Vampires.
  • Ability Enhancement. [TEMPORARY;affects speed,strength,etc.]
  • Ability Enhancement of Allies. [drains away own abilities]

Use of Mygck beyond fire can cause her severe anemia if done for extended periods (2 -3 hours) or more powerful spells.

Alternative Universes

Down the Rabbit Hole / Pumped It in His Veins

After a particularly bad campaign against Lilith and her demons, Dracula [Ascension timeline version] was left broken and battered when Adam found the vampire that ,somewhat literally, threw herself at him due to delirium.

After quite the adventure, Adam Jensen learns of the reason for the vampire’s appearance and what she comes from, and as such, finds himself pulled into a world of intrigue where demons are being used in an attempt to dominate his world. Not one to sit back and let things devolve, Jensen has since become part of Dracula’s mission… the two coming to know not just things about the all-human world or the supernatural, but that the vampire and the cyborg are not so different…

The subverse deals with Adam being turned into a vampire after a bad fight, and learning to deal with the… finer details of that.

Uncle Sarif (Human Revolution)

The niece of David Sarif who falls into David’s care as her family goes through some hardships. That would be all find and dandy if:

A.) the child was not damaged (and a little bit strange; just what is with those eyes and teeth…?) AND far too curious for her own good, and...
B.) Bent on helping “Sarif’s Grumpy Employee” from behind the scenes.

With an insanely good head for battle strategy, a violent streak, stolen armaments from around (including a set of supposedly — but seemingly not— failed prototype accessories taken from Sarif’s home that mimic a handful of the military augmentation added to that aforementioned employee himself), and far too much determination, this vampire sneaks after Jensen with a determination to outdo the one who had dismissed her as just a child.

Just a little spoiled princess!? She’d show him!

Uncle Sarif (Mankind Divided)

When it seems Jensen has left Dracula forever due to the collapse of Panchaea, the vampire takes it upon herself to become part of the Juggernaut Collective to help straighten up the mess that follows, becoming quite the black op with her newly installed augmentation (a cocktail of things not unlike the lost Icarus’; a feat made possible by Drac’s not so human nature) and her ever increasing immersion into how, when and with what to fight.

Thing is, seems Drac is finally finding her own place when Adam decides to turn back up! The nerve! Doesn’t he know how much she missed him when he supposedly died!? This idiot — he better at least let her make him like her — not human — this time before they run off to see what all this so-called ARC terrorism is really all about!

Icarus and Alice

After the events of DXHR (assumptively, Sarif ending), things go quiet for a while… That is, until a small vampire, last of House Dracula, turns up Adam’s doorstep claiming to be a self-assigned guardian sent to protect Adam from the dangers of the New Grigori who plan to use him on a sacrifice on their altar of wrenching control from the Illuminati of this world (proverbial sacrifice, that is… Hopefully).

Things spiral into chaos pretty quickly, like a trip down the White Rabbit’s hole, when demons, Shells and other beings of both Mygck and Augmented nature start raining down to try to take Adam and eviscerate his protector. Unfortunately for these monsters, it’ll take more than that to stop Project Icarus and his Alice-like guardian. Now if only there was a way to make having Adam’s blood drank less painful…

The Godslaying Doll

Dracula in this world is Devon Holden’s (DX AU version of Devon Hellsend) tool known as the “Godslaying Doll” – Alice Mercy.

Alice Mercy was the off-cast daughter of a woman(a rival of Devon’s who he later had offed when she discovered what Devon had done to the child) who left her husband and did not want their to be evidence of their relationship. Thrown away, the neglected baby was discovered by Zerach Scythe while on death’s doorstep.

Originally planning to raise her alongside his remaining youngest son, the mercenary Ilyas (also trapped under Devon’s thumb due to the man buying out the company he worked for and running them as “security” for Holden Corp.), Devon forced the blonde Korean-Italian to test the remaining research from the Watcher project and new technology on the child.

Alice was reduced to a walking weapon with only her head and pelvis area(left in case Devon needed to…reassure he had a body to transfer to later. Also because we already known Devon takes greatest pleasure in ruining innocent things, though, thankfully has not done so to Mercy…yet.) left of her organic body.

She’s been rebuilt countless times, and in time, they have cloned her (altered, of course) organics multiple times should she die, so they can easily rebuild her with no more than a memory chipset. She has rejected any sense of normality and kindness. Devon sees her as only a tool to kill his rivals and those that he can use as an icon of chaos (he’s used her to kill more than a few figureheads and government leaders that lead to utter destruction and war in places).

Zerach tried to save her when he escaped with the dying Ilyas, but Devon simply kept her too well chained, and Zerach had to retreat or face the Doll being set on him.

When not being used to kill and destroy or being paraded around by Devon to show his fellow Illuminati members not to mess with him (even dressing her up in dresses more befitting an episode of Rozen Maiden or a Lolita fashion show than a meeting with the other shadow rulers of the world just to mock them), the Doll Alice is locked away in Devon’s own hidden mansion left to him by his Father.

She has nothing to her own, but she has raided the library for every book and albums there (something Devon plans to have burned should he come to an end just to spite people as it has many rare tomes and music platforms and first editions of both. To destroy human knowledge causes him as much glee as ending lives and empires), and read enough to be smarter (and far more emotional) than Devon suspects.

Her favourites? Anything to do with fairy tales or finding freedom. The naive, sometimes even child-like Mercy has no hope of freeing herself, and sees herself as only an ugly, ruined doll that is unlovable, but she falls asleep on the cold tile floor of the library with a copy of Cinderella or Alice in Wonderland in her arms and dreams deeply of perhaps one day a prince taking pity on her and help her get away from killing anymore people…
