Overview

Jessica Jensen is a militarily trained, augmented young woman who is Adam Jensen's daughter.

Appearance

Athletic, black haired with one side shaved and with bright blue eyes, Jessica's augmentations create an equally striking pattern on her face and body that glows the same color as her eyes.

Personality

She's illustrated as a prankster during her single-digit years. Jessica's also skilled, intelligent, brave, rebellious and musically gifted as well. Her paternal relationship with Adam is a strong one where both care for eachother's safety.

History

Jessica was frequently rewritten by the author, creating many versions of her story that remain lost.

However and from what's archived, the portrayal of Jessica as Adam Jensen's daughter remains consistent, yet there's still some contentions with this point as Adam is sometimes her biological or foster father.

Her mother is equally fluctuating, sometimes it's another original character named Jenifer Jensen (biological), while in some others it's Faridah Malik (adoptive).

Another facet of the many versions of her story that remains consistent is her affiliation and eventual revolt against the original paramilitar organization HOC (initials unknown), whom are suggested to hide conspiratorial secrets from the public.

It's implied Jessica knows those conspiracies are true, which led to her eventual defection from HOC. It's not known what HOC stands for within the worldbuilding, if it's related to any other group like the illuminati, for instance, or character. What changes in this point, however, it's the age when she signs up and defects, as some versions has her leading a revolution as a ten year old while others has her grown up.

Afterwards in the timeline, it's unclear what happens between the 20's and the 50's; the fate of many characters remain a mystery except for Jessica herself, who joins another original coalition by the name of NASC (Nano Augmented Soldiers Coalition) as a cadet.

It's inferred she's nano augmented around the time, along many others as it's yet another paramilitary group that, just like HOC, it's unknown who's behind it or for what it stands for.

Timeline

This timeline is based in one of the most detailed archived version's of her story.

2010's

Jessica's born in 2014, biological parents Adam Jensen and Jenifer Jensen.
Her mother Jenifer passes away shortly after, reasons unknown to Jessica.
Adam Jensen begins a romantic relationship with Megan Reed, Jessica approves of it.
Adam Jensen is hired as Chief of Security in the Detroit-based Sarif Industries building.
Jessica is sometimes brought to Sarif Industries dependencies by her father, where she causes mischief. The target of her pranks was Pritchard most of the time.

2020's

She joins the HOC Academy and Youth Training Program and is enhanced with a series of augs: the Odyssey AI, the HOC Shield and the Ludicrous Speed Enhancement. Exact date unknown.
She graduates the HOC Academy in 2022 at the age of 8.
Jessica is chosen among other officers to be augmented shortly after with the FRD palm augmentation.
She becomes leader of HOCR, a resistence group against HOC in 2024 at the age of ten.
She revolts against HOC in 2026 at the age of 12.

2050's

Jessica joins the NASC (Nano Augmented Soldiers Coalition) organization, exact date unknown. Carries around a Dragon's Tooth Sword, her weapon of choice.

Trivia

One of the versions of her story has her as Adam's lover. It's unclear if she's also his daughter.
The Odyssey AI gets implanted into the brain and it can:
• Detect combat maneuvers and provide accurate methods on how to counter-act.
• Translate different languages including computer codes.
• Serve as a personal assistant.
It's supposed to be secure with no risk of getting compromised, and even if it does, it doesn't have the capacity to take over your body.
The Ludicrous Speed Enhancement allows the user to run faster than the speed of light.
The HOC Shields is installed in the spinal cord, it goes through the nervous system and the cells to create a protective shield that is almost impenetrable by normal guns and minimizes stab wound damage.
The FRD is implanted inside the palm of the user's hand and it allows to push the targets away. This augmentation in particular comes with a downside, as Jessica explains:
However there are down sides. You see, when you use an augmentation, it uses up energy. Not bio-energy, but your physical energy. Some use up more than others, and the FRD is extremely powerful, but requires a LOT of energy. Not just that, but I also have to be careful not to bottle up my emotions, especially fear and anger, as those two can trigger the FRD if held in for too long, to the point it will release with little to no control, and it can affect friends and foes. That’s why every time I am about to use it, I tell the allies of the battle to get behind me as I usually point that energy forward. It is the most simplest and convenient way to release it.
