Personality
Inferred from a piece of dialogue from one illustration, Evan seems to be the perfect fit for Dorian's sadistic ways as he appears to have a masochistic predilection for pain.
There's also the dynamic of Dorian being more impulsive, while Evan keeps control and command.
History
Evan and Dorian had been 'strangely attached' since they were fifteen back in highschool. Evan's family took notice of this after a classmate mentioned it and the Jones' family 'separated' them.
Eleven years later they find eachother again through unknown circumstances and revive their old relationship.
