Aquinas Archive:Content Policy
Archival Integrity Policy
This wiki is a collaborative archive for documenting Deus Ex fan content, including original characters, fanfiction, fanart, artists, writers, and related fan activity.
The purpose of the wiki is to preserve and organise information that may otherwise be scattered, difficult to find, or lost over time.
Please visit the About section if you want to know more about our project.
General Principle
The default position of the wiki is:
Preserve the archive where possible. Remove, redact, anonymise, or rewrite material where necessary.
Archival Pages
Pages on this wiki are part of a shared archive. They may have been written, edited, sourced, categorised, or maintained by multiple contributors.
Because of this, pages should not be blanked or removed simply because one person no longer wants the subject to be documented.
This applies especially to pages about original characters, fanworks, artists, writers, and related fandom history.
Page Blanking
Users should not blank pages, remove most of a page, or mass-remove information from related pages without discussion.
This includes removing article text, categories, infoboxes, references, images, or links in order to make a page unusable.
Edits like this may be reverted.
If the issue continues after a user has been directed to this policy, administrators may protect the page or restrict editing if needed.
Deletion and Redaction Requests
This section explains how to request deletion, redaction, anonymisation, correction, file removal, attribution changes, or revision hiding.
How to Contact Us
Please do not blank pages to request deletion. Page blanking may be reverted.
To make a request, contact the administrators by:
- Discord:
Discord - Email: majestic12@systemrift.com
For email requests, use the subject line:
Deletion / Redaction Request
Discord or email is preferred because some requests may involve private or sensitive information.
Request Guidelines
You may request changes such as:
- correcting inaccurate information;
- removing private or identifying information;
- removing copied text, images, files, or screenshots;
- changing or removing attribution;
- anonymising a creator or subject;
- removing links to personal accounts;
- hiding specific revisions or edit summaries;
- merging, redirecting, or deleting a page.
The usual solution is to fix the specific issue rather than delete the whole page.
Please include:
- the page or file involved;
- the specific material at issue;
- what you want changed;
- the reason for the request;
- your connection to the material, if relevant.
Do not post sensitive details publicly. Contact an administrator directly for issues involving real names, old usernames, deadnames, private contact details, harassment, safety concerns, private messages, or legal issues.
Response Time
Administrators aim to review and respond within 3 working days.
Urgent privacy, safety, harassment, or copyright issues may be handled sooner.
Creator Requests
Creators are welcome to request corrections, attribution changes, removal of hosted files, redaction of personal information, or other changes.
A creator does not automatically have the right to delete an archival page about a character or fanwork, especially where the page has been worked on by other contributors.
However, pages about real people should be handled carefully. Artist and writer profiles should avoid unnecessary personal information and should focus only on material relevant to the archive.
Administrator Response
When a page is blanked, administrators may revert the edit and direct the user to the proper request process.
Administrators should still review what was removed. If the blanked material included private information, copied material, or other legitimate concerns, it should not be restored blindly.
