Overview
Evelyn Roth is an augmented private security contractor.
Appearance
The contractor who performed surgery on Evelyn's arms managed to make her "look like a tank", adding semi-permanent battle platng, electro-impulse reactive camouflage patterns, and reinforced digits that were a better fit for breaking necks than scratching an itch. While extreme, she had to agree with her surgeon; they were able to get her life back, without any complications.
Under the light, the arms were non-reflective, with what looked like textureless paneling, but the servos and surface details of the metallic skin below were highlighted.
Neuropozyne was an insubstantial factor in her life that she could live with, and she hoped in time the injections might even halt entirely. In the end, her body might even become a better image of itself.
History
An incident in Fallujah claimed one of her arms. After some debilitation, she would go on to replace her good arm as well, citing symmetry as the deciding factor.
Timeline
2020's
Sarif Industries was too prideful to sponsor the procedure to remove a healthy organ, and Tai Yong Medical had a bad reputation with their proximity to Belltower. Essentially, one of the smaller manufacturers ended up taking the contract a DOD-rejected civilian was contracted for the procedure.
Following the surgery, Evelyn initially time becoming acquainted with her new arms, which ultimately allowed her to return to a relatively normal lifestyle within the private security sector. Now, an entire day's worth of working with her augs felt as natural as any day before her incident.
She wondered if this was what immortality felt like. Evelyn always knew she would transcend from one state of being to the next in time, in a process that she didn’t know but certainly feared. This process of returning to life, apropos of nothing, took that fear away.
