Jensen then pays a visit to Francis with a few questions about Laura, which is met with mockery from Francis as the Chief in Security doesn't know what's under his nose. Francis then proceeds to praise Laura's skills and work, saying she's as good of a hacker as himself, in fact, he says she's basically second in command. This is happening while Laura, in the privacy of her office, opens the cereal box revealing two hacking software devices, thinking Adam, as handsome as he is, is too nosy for her own good.

Before continuing the carnage, Chris notices Adam is reaching them, thinking he's coming to aid Laura. Ironically, Adam's wandering nearby by accident, thinking Laura must already had reached her home. Chris disappears with what seems to be invisible cloaking while muttering <i>"her true hero is now coming, I must leave"</i>, only for Laura to scream for help and have Adam notice her, running to her rescue. Laura then shouts to Adam <i>"[https://sailormoon.fandom.com/wiki/Mamoru_Chiba_/_Tuxedo_Mask_(manga) Takishido Kamen!]"</i> and the rest of Kratos' men yell confused <i>"wtf?! Who is that Takishido?!"</i>.

When the squad reaches Laura and Adam, she thinks it's the previous attackers coming back, aso she takes Adam's revolver and threatens the nearest rescuer. Later, said rescuer is communicating with Sarif and is ordered to bring Adam to LIMB. Laura, in the background, is being questioned about her status as a worker, asking for her ID, which she says she has lost. She tells the man questioning her to deliver the message to the man communicating with Sarif, refering to him as the "handsome blondie".

Once in the police station, she insults Wayne Haas, who's custodying her, asking what her charges are. The cop reads them: threatening police members with a gun (the rescue squad back in Sarif Industries), identity theft (the doctor from LAMB off his shift), and insulting a police officer (what just Laura did). Sarif goes visit her, Laura taking the chance to beg him to bail her out of her predicament. Sarif glares her, still silent, and leaves the police station.

Two hours later, Laura is taken to a closed room for interrogation, where [https://matrix.fandom.com/wiki/Agent_Smith Agent Smith] takes a sit with her with a document in hand. He welcomes her with her real name: Evie Dormer, and closes by saying she's in <i>"deep shit</i>. "They" have been watching her for a while, taking notes how she has led two lives for the past years. Laura Werner is a C-Sec worker for Sarif Industries with a social security number and up to date paid taxes, she hates her boss Francis Pritchard and calls him "Archn3rdo". Evie Dormer, her real identity, is a criminal hacker known as "Shadow" who's guilty of virtually every cyber crime they have laws for.

Laura is surprised by the extent of their knowledge, Agent Smith continuing by adding she's actually in this very room because "she has gone rogue" and advices her to cooperate with them if she wants a chance of freedom under the Laura Werner path.

At the same time but in LIMB, Adam is under the knife still fighting for his life, the doctors attributing his revived vitality to Laura's love with her kiss.

Back to Laura, now Evie, rejects Agent Smith's offer by giving him the finger, which he takes as the ending of their negociation and leaves, not before lending a piece of paper to her. Evie reads in horror as she realizes she was talking to one of Kratos' men, the paper printed with big lettering: <i>"Kratos Remembers"</i>.

In a dark street, elsewhere, a car is parked in the midst of the road, it's owner throwing a big trash bag in a bin. [https://hitman.fandom.com/wiki/Agent_47 Agent 47], while disposing of the suspicious trash bag, is holding a phone conversation with someone unknown, agreeing to his next hitjob.
<br>Evie is then walked to her cell, [https://hannibal.fandom.com/wiki/Hannibal_Lecter Hanibal Lecter] being one of the many immates in her aisle. She takes comfort in the fact Kratos can't hurt her in prison, but, to her unluckiness, the superintendent receives a call that instantly clears her of all charges and releases her. In the streets, she doesn't want to return home as it brings memories of Adam, whome she believes to be dead, and no longer caring for her wellbeing, she takes off to a nearby park.

Meanwhile, Adam's augmentations are succesfully added to his body, and while he remain in an induced coma, Sarif and Frank watch over him. Frank tells Sarif Jensen won't be happy with what was done to him, which David disparages with strange confidence, replying <i>"you don't know what love is capable of, Frank. You'll see it soon enough".</i>

Evie, sitting on a swing at the park, entertains the idea of avenging Jensen until her train of thought is interrupted by a flute melody she recognices.
<br>The Violet Aug that protected her before makes his presence known, calling Eve "Little Orchid" and that he finally found her.

In his end, Jensen fnally awakes after two long days, and goes bonkers once he realices what was done to him, attacking the two doctors/nurses treating him. He's induced into a coma again and the whole incident is reported to Sarif, who then contacts Malik urgently asking her to do something. She agrees, starting right away.

Back to Evie, she breaks in tears as she falls into Navras' embrace, the Violet Aug comforting her by mentioning how strong she truly is. She asks where was he when she needed him most, and he replies "I've always been around, watching you."
<br>Navras then suggests going to a secure place to talk more in depth as being in the open is dangerous for the two of them, Evie then taking him to her apartment. Once there, Navras, also known as Joe, warns her Kratos won't stop pursuing her until he has her corpse under his feet, which Evie shuts down by nihilisticaly muttering there's nothing left for her to care about, she ruined it all by not fixing the backdoor coding mistake in time. Then she goes on about how she'd "blow her brains out" with a gun and, suddenly, remembers Adam's revolver, the one she used to threaten a rescuer. She recalls hiding the gun, and wants to retrieve it to keep it as a memory of Adam, but can't remember where she hid it before entering the hospital.

She's about to leave Joe alone to go look for it, until Joe shows it to her, saying <i>"a dustbin isn't a good place to hide things"</i>. Laura takes it off his hands and starts looking for a place in her apartment to hide it, all while Joe scolds her over her never practicing what he teaches her.

She then decides the fridge is the best place to hide the gun, chaining it so it can't be opened. Joe's annoyed because he thinks the best course of action is destroying it, but Evie gets upset because that's the only object she has that belonged to Adam in life. An argument starts that gets quite heated, because Malik, who was approaching her door, hears yelling from the inside. Worried, she rings the doorbell over and over, sure that something bad is going on.
<br>Out on nowhere, [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I._Y._Yunioshi Mr. Yuniochi] comes out and berates Malik for waking him up with the constant ringing, referencing [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breakfast_at_Tiffany's_(film) Breakfast at Tiffany's]. Finally, Evie welcomes Malik, Joe making use of his invisible cloaking to not be seen, and Faridah asks if she's alright since she heard shouting. Evie plays dumb and tries distracting Malik by badly pretending everything is fine, but Malik glimpses a silhouette in the TV's screen reflection, further convinced there's somebody else in the apartment.
[[File:Nifriel_evie_35.jpg|thumb|160px|right|Laura and Adam.]]
While searching around, Faridah lets Evie know Adam is alive, and Evie, overjoyed, claims his survival is thanks to her kiss. Faridah, though, suspects Evie is hiding a lover and is hellbent on finding him, but Joe escapes while she's looking in the kitchen by flying out of the window with his neon wings.

Giving up the search, Malik continues informing her friend about Adam's condition, adding despite being alive, he's kept in a coma. This fact throws Evie in a spiral where she blames herself over the whole attack and Adam's current state, which Malik tries aliviating by comforting her. That is until she notices the chained fridge, questioning Evie's mental health. The ex C-Sec tries throwing a bad excuse by justifying the oddity as a solution for a faulty door that won't close, and Fardiah, not really believing her, doesn't further question her as Sarif had contacted her requesting her presence.

Before leaving, Malik gives Evie a card that allows her access to Adam and encourages her to pay him a visit, a thing our protagonist overthinks until she finds a flyer left by Joe stating "follow the pink flamingo, address unknown", some kind of club of sorts. Evie chooses to look for the club, realizing it's called "Club Address Unknown" with a huge neon flamingo sign in the front. She enters and asks for Joe, but none of the bartenders recognices anybody under that name. She sits in one table, thinking she should be at Adam's side and orders a myriad of drinks to forget it all. In the background, a huge sign offers prostitution services of one [https://detroit-become-human.fandom.com/wiki/Connor Connor] from [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit:_Become_Human Detroit Become Human].

Elsewhere, a shadowy Kratos listens to music, thinking of Evie and how he wants her with him. It's suggested he's sexually obssesed with her in a psychotic way, hence his constant harassment and pursue.

Agent 47 enters the club and sits in Evie's table, her annoying him with non-warranted questions as she was extremely drunk. A bouncer approaches her warns her abot her off-putting behaviour, but she dismisses him so the bouncer then brings his boss to deal with the drunk.
<br>Turns out, the man in charge of the club was Joe himself, who lectures her about getting in needless trouble. But Evie also dismisses him and continues being a pest.

Nontheless, Joe is concerned and advises her to stay within the club as going outside in the state she is was highly dangerous, a thing Evie does listen to and sits in a couch, immediatly falling asleep. He picks her and brings her to a safe bedroom in the upper levels of the club, a moment where it's heavily implied Joe is in love with her.

The next morning and when Evie is already awake, he again lectures her about how she's doing exactly the same mistakes she did ten years ago, and in a moment of self reflection, Evie aknowledges she's scared of the consequences of visiting Adam since it'd involve revealing all of her lies. However, she understand she's being selfish and a coward, because above all, she's still currently his girfriend and she should be one of the main people supporting him through what he's going.

So she gathers courage and heads to LAMB, meeting a comatose Adam whose only visible bodypart is his head. She whispers close to him how she still loves him, and seeking to hold one of his hands, she discovers it's been replaced with an aug.
She crumbles at the sight and runs away crying, blaming herself again for what Adam became. She decides to leave Adam forever because her presence brings nothing but misery to all those around her, and returns to the club to end it all.

She steals one of the baristas' glass bottles and heads up to the upper level, locking herself in one of the rooms. She hits the bottle against the wall and cuts herself with it's edges. Joe is told of Evie's presence and what she did, which leads to him panicking, knowing what her intentions are and asks the barista to help him search her. He finds a bloody Evie already unconscious, and asks his man to get the medical equipment ready for her, thinking he had already saved her from a similar attempt in the past.

Evie, unconsciously, has a flashback about her childhood, where she relieves a car accident that took the life of her mother and costed her one of her legs. When she wakes up, her augmented leg is in display while a naked-out-of-the-shower Joe scolds her for what she attempted. She answers by telling him to put on some clothes, which pushes Joe to reply <i>"You've already seen me naked when Damien forced me to have sex with you".</i> Evie fires back with <i>of all bitter replies you do that one</i>, Joe apologizing, only for her to later admit <i>"It's ok. O never had a chance to tell you how much I liked it and wanted it to happen... it was the best moment of my life"</i>

Overview

A heavily augmented woman who worked undercover at Sarif Industries under the alias Laura Warner. She shares a complicated relationship with Adam Jensen.

Appearance

TBA

Personality

Prone to self pitying and suicidal tendencies, Evie has low self-esteem and a propensity for running away from her problems.

These qualities are highlighted when, after Adam barely survives the attack at Sarif Industries, she's suggested by Faridah Malik to pay him a visit —at that point of the story Jensen being officially her boyfriend.
Evie, wondering to herself, is scared of Adam's reaction if he finds out she used to be a spy and the overall extent of her lies, since 'Laura Werner' wasn't even her real name.

Faridah then warns Evie that Adam is in a comatose state, so conversations can't be possible. This revelation throws Evie into a spiral of self pitying, blaming herself for what Adam is going through, and instead of going to LIMB, she visits Joe's club 'Unknown Address' to get drunk.

The next day, and after realizing she's being selfish, she finally visits Adam, only to storm off feeling sorry for herself once she tries holding one of his hands and realizes it's been replaced with an aug.
She once again blames everything that happened to Adam to herself and returns to Joe's club completely disturbed, stealing a glass bottle and running to a closed room to shatter it against a wall, the intention being creating a bladed weapon to use against herself.

Joe Mando, an old friend of her, emphasizes how she seems to never learn from her past mistakes, repeats them cyclicky and continues avoiding all consequences.

To her credit, though, once she got to know Adam, Frank and Faridah more deeply, she dropped the spying mission and tried correcting all transgressions done against Sarif Industries, and right after Adam is hospitalized in LIMB after the attack, she comes clean to David Sarif.

History

At least in the comic, it's implied she had a shady, criminal past as a hacker, full of traumas and bad company.

As a child, she was traveling with her mom by car until they crashed, her mother dying in the accident and Evie losing a leg.

Comic Version

Two months before the attack in Sarif Industries, Evie worked undercover as a subordinate of Pritchard in Cyber-Security under the identity of Laura Werner.

By chance, she stumbled upon Adam Jensen, who had never met or heard her name before in the building. Laura, worried, argues she's been working for Sarif for two years in Milwaukee and was transferred two weeks ago by Francis' request. Adam is still suspicious of her, sensing something is off, and asks her to follow him to his office for further interrogation, but he's then interrumpted by Megan.

Laura is relieved for avoiding the Chief in Security, and heads directly to her office where she immediatly hacks and downloads data, sensing her spying mission might be in jeopardy.

Her hunch wasn't wrong, as after Adam returns from lunch, he orders Laura to come to his office where he further interrogates her.
At first he thinks she must be some kind of cyber-prostitute, finding a lipstick with a brand Megan liked, concluding Laura must have good taste. He then pulls out a box of 'Crunchy Pirate' cereal, which keeps feeding into his hypothesis about Laura having good taste. This box, though, is oddly heavier than regular ones, but that strange quality didn't bother Adam enough to warrant opening it and check what's making it heavier.

He then performs a body inspection on Laura, which prompts her to argue such a thing must be done by another woman. He shuts her down by lying, saying he has done it many times before and no one has complained. The whole procedure, however, is interrumpted by Pritchard calling Laura, requiring her presence at the C-Sec office right away.

Laura leaves, but not without being warned by Jensen a second body inspection might be necessary.

Laura and Adam.

Later, during the weekend, Laura assists ballet sessions where she's distracted and performing badly, warranting a scolding from her teacher who brings up how lazy and old she is. While showering, Laura awkwardly admits the sole reason she's still admitted in the school is because her mother is funding it. Her pessimism is quickly lifted after she remembers the reason she was distracted in the first place: she left a "gift" in Adam's office; she hacked the entrance's keypad and changed the code.

Later that day she visits a restaurant near Sarif Industries called 'Jackdaw', and once she's sat down and looking what to order, she spots Adam entering. She tries her best at hiding, but Adam finds her right away because she was sitting in his favortie table. He sits with her and order together, then proceeds to annoy Laura once his soup arrives buy slurping his spoon very loudly.
Turns out Adam didn't come to dine alone, as Faridah suddenly sits with them, excited with the idea of the three eating together. After a good time telling jokes, a pleased Laura excuses herself and leaves, which leads to Malik asking Jensen why he doesn't her ask Laura out. Jensen chokes on his food, and jokes he'll tell Frank she loves him if she ever repeats that again.

The next working day, Jensen finds out about Laura's "prank", and furiously demands her presence, berating her once she met him. Laura reacts as negatively, deflecting by saying "it's a stupid joke, have some sense of humor".
He, instead of being mad by the huge workplace misconduct, yells about his trust being broken, which she responds by continuing being unproffessional and insulting him by shouting "shove all your threats up your ass". Jensen, unimpressed, actually threatens her this time: "I'm not your friend or toy, one wrong move and you're fired!"

Frank overhears the heated conversation and storms into Jensen's face to add more fuel to the fire, yelling to leave his workers alone, that what Laura did was just a silly prank, that he knows nothing about computers and if he continues harassing her, he'll tell on Sarif. Laura breaks into tears, not because she's in risk of being fired, but because she now thinks Adam hates her.

By miracle, Faridah steps into the shouting match and tames the men just when Pritchard's arguments were devolving into insults, by challenging them to clean her helicopter.
And like that, both Jensen and Pritchard obeyed, competing over who cleans the most of the flying machine, all while Laura and Malik watched them play with water.

Later that night, from his own office, Adam is alone reflecting over what happened earlier, admitting he found the prank amusing and he did like Laura, but couldn't bring himself to ask her out as Megan was still present in his thoughts.
He watches from above how Faridah and Laura walk outside the building, stopping at a nearby clothing shop. Werner talks about how she'd love to own one of the dresses in display, Malik asking if that's the dress she'll wear for the Sarif Gala. Laura shakes her head, the dress was too expensive and couldn't afford it.

Then a heavy rain hits them out of nowhere, the two woman running into the Jackdaw restaurant for refuge. Once inside, they spot Frank and Adam in a table, so the two slide into one without being spotted by them, ask for two straws and a Crunchy Pirate box, and proceed to shoot cereal at the men, the two of them annoyed as they couldn't spot from where it was coming.

Laura and Adam.

The next day, Laura receives a message from Adam, telling her he knew it was her behind the cereal attack from the day before. Werner didn't care if that little mischief would bring her trouble as she was going to resign, dropping the infiltration mission.
When she's about to use the elevator, she overhears two women snickering about how Laura isn't Megan and Adam won't date her. Offended, she grabs a broom and locks the door where the women were, locking them inside.

After steping out of the elevator, she arrogantly enters Adam's office, handing him her resign papers. Jensen, unbothered, points out he isn't the person she should be handing her resignation, but her boss, Pritchard. Werner, about to burst into tears, swallows it up and thanks him, leaving his office wondering why he hates her so much.

Out of her way from Pritchard's office, she encounters Faridah, who presses Laura into spitting why is she resigning. She tells her the truth and confesses it's because she's in love with Jensen, but he hates her.

Frank storms into Jensen's office and blames him for Laura resigning, accusing him of sexual harassment. After leaving, Malik soon after enter and asks Adam if he knows why Laura is quitting. Adam replies with indifference, theorizing they'll find out in the Gala later that night. Malik then tells him the dress she wants is too expensive for her budget, which Adam replies with "then she has to buy a cheaper one."
Malik, disappointed, calls him shortsighted and leaves.

Later that night, a depressed Laura is in her apartment shoveling icecream and watching documentaries about lions copulating, until her door is knocked. She opens it thinking it was the pizza she ordered but it was a mystery package from Sarif Industries. She opens it and, to her surprise, it was the expensive dress she wanted. She later receives a message from Frank, stating "this is your last chance" regarding the Gala, and, determinated, she dolls up to attend it.

Meanwhile, an angsty Adam is also killing time in his place over Laura, but is contacted by Sarif and told to obligatory come to the Gala. Reluctantly, he dresses up and shows up, every woman in his way fawning over his beauty, so much so he's surprised as he was unaware of how attractive he is. He then wonders if Laura will show up.

After Adam walks deeper into the building, Werner makes her entrance, every woman envying her luxurious dress by gossiping "Now Laura is the Icon! And we are wearing last century clothing..." She thinks if she won't have Adam, at least she'll be remembered over her impressive, expensive dress.

After encountering Faridah, Werner asks if it was her who gifted her the dress, which Faridah denies. She suggest asking Athena about it, as she's the one who oversees the company's parcels. Laura leaves, leaving Faridah to her devices, spotting Frank alone. Malik approaches him and practically orders Frank to be her dance partner, so they can win the golden Icarus prize.

Laura searches for Athena and by coincidence finds Sarif with Megan, them not noticing her. They go to a closed area to talk where Werner can't hear them, so she pulls out her lipstick that's also a recording device that amplifies sounds, and carefully listens to a regretful Megan mentioning how she stole Adam's DNA without his consent and something about a "patient X".

Laura, shocked, wonders if she should tell Adam about this revelation, but is interrupted by Athena who catches her snooping around. Werner quickly hides the lipstick in her bag and tells the old lady she was looking for her, she wanted to ask about a courier from Sarif Industries sent by an unknown person. Athena checks the logs and says nothing was sent during the day and Laura thanks her, hurriedly leaving to an area outside the building. She's worried the anonymous sender might be Kratos, a shady figure from her past still tormenting her.

Her thoughts are then interrumpted by Adam, who praises her looks and apologizes for all past altercations, inviting her to a dance. She, beyond excited, accepts, and the two dance to the Beauty and the Beast's theme song. It was all wonderful until Adam receives a text message from Megan, lying to Laura saying it's from Frank's. He excuses himself and leaves.
A tearful Laura wonders if "loving her is really that bad? and thinks he's just playing with her feelings.

Despondent, she wanders in the halls of the building feeling like a "fish out of water" since Adam and Faridah had left her alone. She goes straight to the bar area and sits besides someone claiming to be Thor, her thinking the guy besides her was definitely not Chris Hemsworth. Together, they drink several rounds until Laura spots Adam and Megan dancing. She realizes he had lied to her about Frank needing him, and, even in quite the drunk state, she has the dignity to leave the Gala without a peep.

Sometime after, Faridah sends several messages to Adam worried about Laura's whereabouts, the last time anybody saw her being wasted with a guy dressed like Thor. Adam replies by texting back that Laura is already an adult and can go wherever she wants, and if Faridah is so concerned, she can go look for her. Faridah says she would if it wasn't for Sarif having her as "taxi" and begs Adam to go search for her at her place. Adam complies, and while he's leaving, Frank has the dancefloor's spotlight immitating Michael Jackson.

As Laura is walking down the streets, she's kidnapped by a man muttering to her ear "Kratos sends his regards", and as she's taken to an alleyway, she realizes her assailant is accompanied with a few more men. The one helding her against the wall tells her Kratos said they could do whatever they wanted with her, and as he unfastens his belt, an unknown voice above the sky surprises them by yelling "I wont let you touch her".

A man with violet augmentations extremely similar to Adam Jensen's jumps off with neon wings and two blades in each hand, quickly locking the main aggressor in combat with him. "I'm Chris Sullivan, codename Aechangel, an all around augmented human bad boy and dispencer of justice in an unjust city" he introduces himself as he slashes his adversary down after a few dodges.

Laura and Adam.

Before continuing the carnage, Chris notices Adam is reaching them, thinking he's coming to aid Laura. Ironically, Adam's wandering nearby by accident, thinking Laura must already had reached her home. Chris disappears with what seems to be invisible cloaking while muttering "her true hero is now coming, I must leave", only for Laura to scream for help and have Adam notice her, running to her rescue. Laura then shouts to Adam "Takishido Kamen!" and the rest of Kratos' men yell confused "wtf?! Who is that Takishido?!".

Adam then proceeds to fist fight the group, one of them pulling a knife to attack Laura, which Adam thwarts by shelding her with his own body, being cut from one shoulder to the back. Adam orders Laura to run, but she refuses, so he's forced to quickly resume fighting the knifed foe by knocking him out with a single punch. He's then assaulted by the last goon standing, receiving several punches and kicks.

This guy throws Adam to the ground, hurting one of his knees with a solid stomp, and then puts him under a chokehold, but Laura deciding not to be a coward, takes a glass bottle from the ground and hits the goon with it, which causes no visible damage. The man leaves Jensen alone to focus on Laura, choking her and blurting he'd kill her for that bottle strike alone if it wasn't for Kratos wanting her alive. Adam regains breath and knocks him down with a single punch.

Laura thanks Adam and then proceed to banter as usual, all while she's thinking "Kratos wants me because he doesn't know of the record" which brings her relieve. Adam then tries interrogating the aggressors since he thinks the whole attack wasn't a random act of violence, the only one conscious but barely alive being Chris' victim. However, this man refuses telling anything to Adam. Laura then calls a taxi and takes Adam to the hospital.

At the hospital, it takes Adam 2 hours to be released, Laura eavesdropping the female doctor advising him on what to do after leaving, leading to Laura jealously staring at her for looking at him too much. Afterwards, Laura presses and convinces Adam to stay and rest in her apartment.

Elsewhere but at the same time, an e-conversation between one of the goons and someone else, possibly Kratos, is taking place, where the goon is reporting Laura was saved by the "Violet Aug" and "Sarif's Dog", which then abruptly ends with the goon being choked to dead.

Laura and Adam arrive at her place, which she then immediatly retires to her room to change clothes, leaving her guest alone in the living room. Adam notices her diary on the table and proceeds to read it, one page filled with nothing but insults towards him. He then receives an email for prosthetic penises from "VanderDong2027".
Laura is in her room thinking where to hide the recording of Sarif and Megan, and after completing that task, she returns to the living room to attend Adam, who suddenly stands up and tells her he has to leave because Frank needs him.

She's taken aback by his flippancy, and realizes he must've read her diary filled with insults towards him. Adam had, indeed, left because of the diary's content, and she's left grumpy thinking it's ill-mannered of him to invade her privacy like that.

After a while, Adam returns to her place, Laura figuring the case being over his forgotten suitcase, but suddenly, he surprises her by kissing her out of nowhere. He gifts her a new diary, telling her she can now write new things of him from now on, a-la Bridget Jones's Diary.
Later on, she tells him of the mystery behind her Gala dress and how she's still trying to solve it, which Adam clarifies by admitting it was him who bought and sent it to her.

Laura then prepares his bed for the night, which appears to be hers as they end up sleeping together, her dreaming of their kiss and Adam dreaming of cereal. She wakes up wondering if he's dreaming of her.

The next morning, Adam asks Laura about her attackers, finding suspicious how one of them was an aug that was attacked, previous of his arrival, by another aug (because he could tell it was a sword that had cut him). Laura plays dumb and tells him she was too drunk and scared to properly remember the attack.

After a week of dating and a week away from the Sarif Attack, Adam and Laura spent most of their time together riding bikes at night as an example of what they enjoyed doing together during their off days. During their working days, though, they still managed to find time as a couple with Adam requesting Laura to show up in his office for "body inspections".

Laura, who was still employed at Sarif Industries despite resigning, visits Pritchard to give him the latest code for the firewall they were working together. Pritchard welcomes her a bit surly, letting her know she's the hottest topic in Sarif Industries thanks to her amazing dress in the Gala. He also tells her he knows she's dating Jensen, and takes away the free days he gave her over that.

Adam then calls her to his office for one of his famous "body inspections", which, to talk more in detail about them, are done in the privacy of his locked office for about 15 minutes. Right after the deed is done, Laura is intercepted by Malik, who tells her she must also go to her office immediatly. There, they have girl talks that end with Faridah approving of Laura's relationship with Jensen.

Once home later that night, she discovers a major backdoor in the code of Sarif's network firewall she had recently given to Frank, and tries contacting him to correct it, but he doesn't respond. She obtains the same result with Adam. She concludes no one would die over this problem if it goes uncorrected for a few hours, and so, she soundly falls asleep.

The next day, she notices everybody at Sarif's is more frantic than usual. She looks for Frank in his office but can't be found, goes to Jensen's and he isn't there neither. She asks Athena, and is informed Adam is with Megan in the Lab sector, which makes Laura both frustrated and jealous.

Suddenly, the alarms ring loud in the whole building and Laura knows someone must've exploited the firewall's backdoor, so she runs in search of Adam before "shit hits the fan". Adam, like in the events of Human Revolution, is focused on protecting Megan. Laura enters the lab section and finds a female scientist passing out, identifying her as her mentor in Milwaukee. The more she explored the halls, the more corpses and destruction she found, blaming herself for the chaos and looking for Adam more desperate then before.

Adam, who in his end is fighting against the intruders, spots Laura at the other side of one glass panel, horrified for a second before he sees how Laura's form changes to Yelena's, only to then vanish in thin air. Meanwhile, Laura slips through the vents to securily move around the labs until she finally finds Adam, who's about to be attacked by Barrett. She yells at Adam warning him of the man, which is quickly stopped Barrett grabbing her by the neck. Laura falls unconscious, and wakes up right after Namir was done with Adam.

She again blames herself over the whole attack and believes she can't live without his forgiveness, so she reaches for a first aid kit on the wall near them and performs CPR on Adam.

At the same time, in Sarif's office, he asks Frank how could the attackers bypass the security, which Frank can't give an answer because the latest update was done not too long ago by him and Laura and it was "perfect". Sarif rambles about not wanting outside involvement, that they can handle it in-house, which then pushes Frank to convince Sarif to ask for outside help for the sake of his research, and for Megan and Adam being potentially still alive. Sarif relents and a rescue squad arrives.

Laura and Adam.

When the guy interrogating her gets distracted, Laura takes the chance to escape through the vents to the outside world, entering an ambulance parked nearby calculating it'd take her to LIMB. After no one in the ambulance spots her, she succesfully arrives at LIMB and quickly steals the credentials, uniform and equipment of one doctor off his shift to blend in and search for Adam.

She has a hard time finding him until she stumbles across Sarif, with a cameo of Dr. House and Dr. Quinn walking near. And before she tried sneaking out of his sight, Sarif had already spotted her and greeted her coldly. She wonders if to whether come clean with her spying activities or if to lie her way out of trouble, and she chooses to come clean.

She clumsily explains she used to be a spy, but dropped the mission soon after and became a legit worker. Early in the morning, she was looking for Frank before the attack and she had no involvement with it.
Sarif remains silent, which Laura awkwardly also stays like. She wonders how could Sarif remain so cold and emotionless while Adam fights for his life, until the surgeons resucitating Adam lose him and declare him dead.

The main surgeon comes out of the operating room to bring the bad news to Sarif, and Laura, not believing him, recklessly runs inside to see Adam with her own eyes. The doctor calls security but Sarif stops him, as a grief striken Laura kisses a bloody Adam one last time before she's detained and arrested.

Two hours later, Laura is taken to a closed room for interrogation, where Agent Smith takes a sit with her with a document in hand. He welcomes her with her real name: Evie Dormer, and closes by saying she's in "deep shit.

Evie reads in horror as she realizes she was talking to one of Kratos' men, the paper printed with big lettering: "Kratos Remembers".

In a dark street, elsewhere, a car is parked in the midst of the road, it's owner throwing a big trash bag in a bin. Agent 47, while disposing of the suspicious trash bag, is holding a phone conversation with someone unknown, agreeing to his next hitjob.
Evie is then walked to her cell, Hanibal Lecter being one of the many immates in her aisle.

Frank tells Sarif Jensen won't be happy with what was done to him, which David disparages with strange confidence, replying "you don't know what love is capable of, Frank. You'll see it soon enough".

Evie, sitting on a swing at the park, entertains the idea of avenging Jensen until her train of thought is interrupted by a flute melody she recognices.
The Violet Aug that protected her before makes his presence known, calling Eve "Little Orchid" and that he finally found her.

Navras then suggests going to a secure place to talk more in depth as being in the open is dangerous for the two of them, Evie then taking him to her apartment.

She's about to leave Joe alone to go look for it, until Joe shows it to her, saying "a dustbin isn't a good place to hide things".

Out on nowhere, Mr. Yuniochi comes out and berates Malik for waking him up with the constant ringing, referencing Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Laura and Adam.

In the background, a huge sign offers prostitution services of one Connor from Detroit Become Human.

Turns out, the man in charge of the club was Joe himself, who lectures her about getting in needless trouble.

She answers by telling him to put on some clothes, which pushes Joe to reply "You've already seen me naked when Damien forced me to have sex with you". Evie fires back with of all bitter replies you do that one, Joe apologizing, only for her to later admit "It's ok. O never had a chance to tell you how much I liked it and wanted it to happen... it was the best moment of my life"
